My beads are made by melting glass rods in a hot torch flame, fuelled by propane and oxygen, and winding the hot glass round a metal mandrel. This process is called lampworking, as opposed to blowing glass, and is a very ancient technique.Learn more
All beads are hand made by me in my workshop in North Norfolk, annealed in a digitally controlled kiln so they cool down at the correct rate to make them robust, carefully cleaned and then used to make unique pieces of jewellery. No two beads are alike – that's the beauty of hand made work.
